Local company aims to bag sales success
A LEEDS company has seen another victory down under to mirror the success of the England cricket team.
The business has scored a six in the Australian fashion world with the introduction of a must-have fashion accessory.
Club Cleo, based on Chartists Way in Morley, has seen Aussie interest in its built-in speaker beach bag which it hopes will catch on with fashionable sun-seekers on the other side of the world – as well as this.
Fifty of the bags were ordered for a corporate gift promotion for world-leading home entertainment specialists in Australia last month and the company hopes this will be a springboard to further sales.
The speaker bag offers the user the opportunity to listen to music from iPods, music phones, iPhones and MP3 players – and it is available in pink or blue.
The company also stocks natural health and beauty products including pamper packs, breast enhancement supplements, an intimate care range, perfumes, and health and beauty accessories.
From its head office in Leeds, Club Cleo distributes to an international customer base.
Janine Kay, managing director of Club Cleo, said: "Making us all crave a little bit of winter sun, we're thrilled the beach bags have been received so well for the corporate gift promotion and expect to see them flying off the shelves as we start thinking about our 2011 getaways to escape the Arctic weather."
Club Cleo is part of KayCo Limited and is a family-run business which was set up 20 years ago.
