HERBAL MASKS- Aloe Vera

Cleo aloe masks are designed to aid with anti-ageing, as well as soothe the skin and make you appear more radiant.

Many customers have felt these benefits, giving us feedback such as “the aloe mask made my skin look healthy and more hydrated.”

They are perfect to summer, as another customer of ours would suggest, saying it was “really refreshing in the summer heat.”

Aloe vera is a plant close to the cactus family which has been used for skin benefits for thousands of years. Most commonly used is the aloe vera gel, which is locked inside the leaves, and secreted only when they are broken. Being locked away behind the tough exterior of the leaf helps to keep the gel pure which means it is very healthy for the skin. It is this gel that is mostly used in skincare products.

Our aloe face masks help to fight the signs of ageing by improving the elasticity of the skin, complimenting it with a more radiant glow. Aloe vera contains many hormones which help to revive the skin, such as gibberellin which encourages the growth of new skin cells providing with an all new, fresh epidermis!

Cleo aloe masks are particularly effective after sun exposure, as (particularly if you have suffered burning) it is very soothing and also healing for the skin. The smooth gel soothes the skin whilst the hormones (such as auxin) help to reduce inflammation and irritation in the skin, helping to heal the wounds.
Our aloe masks, when removed, leave a very thin coating of aloe gel over the skin which slowly absorbs into the epidermis. This layer helps to protect your skin from harmful substances and particles in the air which could cause damage to your skin. It also helps to keep your skin fresh and pure for a lot longer.

There are a variety of other ingredients also included in our aloe masks to increase the benefits even more such as collagen and L-ascorbic acid. L-ascorbic acid is improves the appearance of skin by reducing fine lines and wrinkles. It also helps to prevent skin cell damage caused by ultra-violet radiation. Once L-Ascorbic acid penetrates the skin, it stays there for up to 72 hours. This means that its protection lasts for a long time, and signs of this can be seen after just a few days.

Our aloe masks should be applied to clean skin, with all make up removed and if possible no moisturiser for 10-15 minutes. In this time you can sit and relax until the time is up, and you can then discard the mask and wash your face with water and pat dry. After use, why not apply some Cleo moisturiser to continue soothing the skin?
